I run a lot of workshops on these patterns and I'm definitely going to start including this one (crediting you, of course) as this comes up a lot at organisations where BIPOC folks appear to be more "informal", when really they just have hung onto their humanity more. (Actually, not just BIPOC folks but also white folks who are not Western middle class.) Just based on my own observations, natch!
